We are a private family owned, Yorkshire business with our ‘roots’ firmly in the fresh produce trade. Our organisation is fast-paced, exciting, and dynamic. Due to rapid successful growth our organisation is constantly offering new and exciting opportunities.
The Production Team are the biggest team on site. They are the epicentre to our operations. They are a hard-working and friendly team. They have a knack for ensuring products are made on time, put into the right fast lane for production processing and packing products to our customers specification.
If you are equally as tenacious, have a passion for food and have a high standard of work, then this is the team for you. This is a great opportunity to join a rapidly growing organisation who are pushing the boundaries of innovation in their sector.
As Assistant Production Manager you will ensure team work is key when producing the best products for our customers. We intake vegetables, take customer requirements and process them through our vast and varied machinery. You will have experience in the foods industry, preferably in fresh food or processing. You will ideally have been a Team Leader or Production Supervisor previously, looking for the next step in their career or currently operating at assistant production manager level.
You will ensure your team are trained sufficiently to meet the business requirements, manage health and safety to a high standard and ensure food safety policies and health and safety procedures are adhered to. In addition to this you will be required to assist in the management and achievement of daily production targets, including managing teams of up to 100 people, work allocation, performance, training, mentoring and dealing with staff issues, monitoring and adhering to waste, KPI’s and costs for the area.
You will report into the Senior Production Manager and there will be plenty of opportunity and scope to develop and move into other roles within the business.
You will have a sense of humour, be hard working and passionate about food. We are looking for someone who will be flexible to the business demands and offer a competitive package and excellent training and development prospects tailored to your experience and development needs.
